In the address bar of the your browser enter yahoo's URL, www.yahoo.com and press enter. Click the button on the top of the page that is labeled Check Email. Now click the button that says Sign me up! in big bold letters. In the Yahoo Id enter what you would like to be your e-mail address. In the Password field enter your password; enter the same password in the Re-type password field. Security Question is the question Yahoo will ask you to get back your password if you forget it. Your Answer is the answer to the Security Question. In the Birthday field, enter your birthdate. If you have another email account enter it in the field labeled Current Email. Enter your first name in the First Name field and you last name in the Last Name field. In the Residence field check to make sure the proper Country is selected. Enter your Zip code in the Zip/Postal Code field. In the field labeled Gender choose your gender by clicking the pull-down and choosing male or female. In the Occupation pull-down field select your occupation or job. Do the same for the Industry field. Check the box 'List my new Yahoo mail....' if you want to be on the Yahoo directory listing. Check the box 'Contact me occasionally about....' If you want Yahoo to email you when they have special offers. Keep in mind selecting to be listed will put you on some junk email listings. Under the Interest section click all the boxes that you are interested in. Click the Submit this Form button at the bottom of the page. You now have a Yahoo account. Make sure to write down your username and password in a safe place in case if you forget it. Now that you have an account you can go to www.yahoo.com by typing that URL in your address bar. Click on Check Email and type in your username and password and click the Sign In button. You are now in your Yahoo Email account screen. | Username Taken This error occurs when someone else already registered with Yahoo has the username you have chosen. On the page it lists suggestions or you can create your own. To use one of their suggestions click the radio button (circle) next to the suggestion. If you want to create your own, click the radio button (circle) next to Create your own and in the field to the right type in the new username. |
Your Passwords Didn't Match This error occurs because the two passwords you typed in weren't matching. To fix this retype your password in both Password fields. Make sure you type them correctly. |
Missing Fields This error occurs because you missed or skipped a field that needed information. To fix this error go through and insert the correct answers on the sheet. |
